With both an award winning wine cellar and rosette awarded restaurant, the food and wine at the Alexandra ensures a truly memorable experience.

Whilst continually sourcing the best produce from local farmers and always looking for new and innovative ideas, our Executive Chef, Ian Grant and his team create dishes using a fusion of the traditional and the contemporary.

Ian became our Head Chef at the Alex in 2006. With a passion that Ian says “must be in the genes” (his father was a chef before him and sparked Ian’s interest in the business), Ian’s knowledge has also been gained in the kitchens of hotels such as London’s Park Lane ‘Sheraton’ and Newmarket’s 4 star, 2 AA rosette restaurant ‘Bedford Lodge’.

Our cellar has carefully chosen wines from some of the most notable vineyards around the world and also from the lesser known smaller ‘natural’ growers.

With the choice of both the ‘Alexandra Restaurant’ and the ‘Conservatory Restaurant’ available for private use, we are able to provide you with the perfect setting for:-
