It’s not all knotted handkerchiefs and deckchairs at the UK’s coast. At the Alexandra we are very proud of our Coastal Heritage.
The Jurassic coastal in world renowned and is classed as a World Hertiage Site which covers 3 geological time periods; the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous. The Cliffs along this most excellent of coastlines reveals 185 millions years of history.
But, if Geology is not your thing, you can simply marvel at the gorgeous scenery this coastline has to offer.
At the Alexandra we always work hard to ensure that guests have a relaxed stay with us. It is because of this marriage of coast and service that so many newspapers and travel magazines have saw fit to mention the Alexandra is there reviews.

In June 2014, we were very proud to be included in the Telegraph’s Travel section on “Seaside hotels in south-west Britain: The Fab Five”
“Lyme Regis itself, and the view in particular, are of course the reasons why owner Kathryn Haskins, whose mother Nina ran the hotel before her, has always loved the Alexandra”.
Also, the we were included in the Telegraph again. This time the review was on Britain’s best beach cafes and restaurants.
