The Alexandra Hotel and Restaurant

We are an independent, family owned, 25 bedroom hotel in the coastal town of Lyme Regis nestled on Dorset’s UNESCO Heritage site of the Jurassic Coast. Our precious oasis of calm is set within over an acre of private gardens with a grandstand view overlooking Lyme Bay. We have direct road free access to the beach and are also only a 2 minute walk to the centre of the town.

Perfect for adventurous walks along the South West Coast Path, searching for fossils, meandering around the town, relaxing in the garden with a good book or being pampered in our treatment room with an aromatherapy massage.

We’re here to answer any questions you may have, so feel free to contact us anytime… [email protected]

Had a long day and need to be pampered? Choose from one of the many luxury options available in our treatment room. Celebrating a special occasion? Why not have Champagne, flowers and chocolates awaiting your arrival. Forgotten something? We will do our best to supply a toothbrush or anything else you may require. Taking a day away? A packed lunch will be waiting for you first thing in the morning. Caught your own fish? Why not let us cook it for you? Whenever you stay at the Alexandra, you can be sure that your happiness is our absolute priority.

Our Environment

With our extremely enviable grandstand view over the sea and the majesty of the cliffs of Lyme Bay, we are always conscious of the beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and all that it represents. It is our aim, to not only lower our impact as a business (without compromising standards and guest expectation) but to help bring awareness to the fragility of this special place.
